Salmon River & Tributary Water Flows
Water Flows to Plan Your Fishing Trip
If you are a fisherman, a kayaker or rafter, you know how important it is to have accurate water flow data. Salmon, steelhead and trout fishing can be done at all water flow levels with good chance for success.
Clearly, some water flows are considered to be more ideal than others, but that is a subjective statement and depends on who you are asking.
Some fishermen like the high-water flows because it brings in fresh fish and more of them. Other fishermen prefer more wader friendly water flows. The thing to keep in mind is that there is always somewhere to fish, and you can become a better Salmon River fisherman by learning and understanding how to fish the river at all water flows.
